In Business since 1990 (incorporated in 2005) Edward Otter, Inc. has conducted archaeological projects for a variety of clients and needs.
Pemberton Hall
Pemberton Hall was built in 1741 by Col. Isaac Handy. The property has been faithfully restored by Pemberton Hall Foundation. All work was informed by archaeological study. Edward Otter conducted some of that work and served on the Board of Dirctors.
Jones Farm
The Jones Farm is a 335 acre tract selected for a commercial solar farm. Archaeological survey was conducted and existing buildings were documented with State required Determination of Eligibility forms (DOE).
Groome Tract
Residential development was planned for the Groome tract which was suspected to contain important prehistoric archaeological. Phase I survey through Phase III study was undertaken. Analysis is still ongoing with new insights being gained about prehistoric lifeways in southern coastal Delaware.
